A volunteer police officer with ambitions to become a detective has been banned from the force after she pulled a woman’s hair and punched a bouncer in the face in a row over a spilled drink.
Abbie Parry had been a special constable with South Wales Police but was cautioned after the bust-up in a nightclub last year, a misconduct hearing was told.
A panel heard the 21-year-old ‘barged into’ Jamie-Leigh Warwick in The Banc in Pentre, South Wales, in August last year and spilled her drink.

Miss Parry and her victim rowed in the club’s smoking area before the officer pulled the other woman’s hair so hard her head went back.
When Miss Parry tried to re-enter the club she was stopped by doorman Ross Cooper but she punched him ‘two or three times’ to the face.
Miss Parry was banned from the nightclub and her victim’s family later made a formal complaint to police.
The hearing, at South Wales Police headquarters, was told Miss Parry was quizzed by officers and admitted the attack on Miss Warwick.
She denied attacking bouncer Mr Cooper and was cautioned with an out of court disposal.
The university graduate studied police sciences and had ambitions to become a detective but quit her volunteer role in September last year.

But despite her no longer being an officer a misconduct hearing was held into the allegation of ‘discreditable conduct.’
The Professional Standards Panel found the allegations proved and Miss Parry has been referred to the police’s barred list.
Panel chair Stephen Gowland said: ‘Her actions on that night were not compatible with modern policing.
‘The former officer clearly acted in a way that would have damaged confidence in the police.’
