The Bachelorette’s Angie Kent gets a vampire facial before quarantine

She recently announced she’d landed a role in the upcoming independent horror film The Possessed.

And it was case of art imitating life for Angie Kent on Tuesday as she underwent a rather chilling beauty treatment before heading into hotel quarantine.

The former Bachelorette revealed on Instagram that she’d just had a ‘vampire facial’, also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy.

Angie, 30, shared a selfie after a trip to the Medispa By Matty clinic and explained the process in the caption.

‘Fresh faced after a PRP session (a.k.a. vampire facial) before I go into a hotel quarantine, to fix these eye bags and acne scars,’ she wrote.

‘And no, it’s not “more” Botox and filler; it’s my own blood, so don’t @ me, haters.’ 

It comes after Angie showed off her noticeably taut visage during an interview on Studio 10 on Monday.

The reality star was on the show to announce her move into acting with a role in The Possessed, a low-budget Australian horror flick.

Days earlier, she’d had Botox injections at the same clinic in Sydney’s Double Day where she underwent the vampire facial.

At the time, some fans were left wondering whether Angie had ‘gone too far’ with her latest top-up, as she displayed noticeably puffy and taut features in a video shared by the clinic to Instagram.

‘Our Nurse Lana performing anti-wrinkle injections on the beautiful Angie Kent – one of our favourite clients!’ the post was captioned.

One concerned fan commented below the video: ‘I feel like she’s gone too far.’ Another wrote: ‘I agree. Too much.’

Angie has made no secret of the fact she has been getting Botox and filler for years.

‘They say it is a preventive. I just love it… just a little bit. You don’t need it often, maybe once every year,’ she said last October.

‘I have got real everything but I look after my skin so I get a little bit of [Botox] and cheeky fillers.’

Angie has also hit back at claims she’s had plastic surgery, insisting she only undergoes non-surgical cosmetic treatments, such as Botox and filler.

She’s also denied claims that her face has significantly changed as a result of injectables, instead putting it down to weight gain.

‘My face has changed a lot since The Bachelorette because I’ve gained a lot of weight because of COVID and a break-up!’ she said in July.

‘When I was on Bachelorette I was severely underweight and I lost a lot of weight from stress and from working really hard and anxiety,’ she continued. 

‘When I’m stressed and have anxiety I can’t keep food down, I can’t eat, I lose a lot of weight.’ 

The former Gogglebox star went on to explain that she was feeling depressed, largely due to her break-up with Carlin Sterritt.

‘Obviously, over the last few months I’ve probably more so been depressed and my body has decided that it wants to eat more and my weight generally goes to my face and my little wine gut,’ she said.
