Stokes, who has a two-year-old son with Miss Scott, is alleged to have breached orders not to contact Miss Scott or her mother between November and December last year.

Prosecutors also claim that he breached a ruling keeping him from Miss Scott for four years by sending her an email message in March this year.

The charges also state that he allegedly broke bail conditions and the terms of a non-harassment order which he was handed last September.

Stokes, from Glasgow, was not present when his case called at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.

Stokes won seven trophies in six seasons at Parkhead and netted twice in Hibs’ 3-2 Scottish Cup win over Rangers in 2016.

He joined Iranian team Tractor Sazi FC in 2018 and also signed a deal with Turkish second division side Adana Demirspor.

He signed with Scottish Premiership side Livingston in August, a contract which was initially set to last until the end of the season.

But Stokes quit the club after just three weeks, claiming that he struggled to adapt to training on the team’s artificial pitch.
