Steve Irwin’s ‘hot niece’ Rebecca Lobie reveals the life changing decision she made many years ago

Her estranged cousin Bindi Irwin announced that she was expecting her first child with husband Chandler Powell earlier this month.

And on Thursday, Rebecca Lobie garnered attention on her own accord, revealing a life changing decision she made years ago. 

The 32-year-old shared a photo to Instagram of herself in a racy red jumpsuit that exposed her cleavage, telling fans how she began her fitness journey.

‘I have always been someone to put others and work first before myself,’ Rebecca began.

‘A few years ago, after another big loss in our lives, I finally took a moment to assess life. This is when I decided to do something for me and started my fitness journey.’

The mother-of-two said she aims to go to the gym or boxing, but if she’s time-poor, will try to manage a walk or a run. 

Rebecca added: ‘The difference it has made, not just physically but mentally for me, has been life-changing. This is just the beginning of my fitness journey.’

Earlier this month, Bindi, 22, revealed her pregnancy, uploading a photo to Instagram of herself and Chandler, 23, holding a tiny version of the Australia Zoo uniform.   

‘Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting!’ she told her followers.

‘It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter.

‘We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us.

Rebecca is the daughter of Frank Muscillo, who is married to Steve Irwin’s sister Joy.

Steve, known to millions around the world as ‘The Crocodile Hunter’, died in September 2006 at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a wildlife documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.

Rebecca was previously the managing director of the Irwin family business, Australia Zoo, but left in December 2015.
