Jessica Alba’s family road trip comes to a ‘traumatic end’ due to ‘many fires’ at their final destination

After ten days on the road with her three children and husband Cash Warren, Jessica Alba revealed the remainder of their trip was cut short on Wednesday.  

The 39-year-old actress told her 18.4 million followers their planned destination was engulfed with flames and attempted to capture the fires by panning her phone to the car windows.  

‘Family road trip is coming to a traumatic end,’ the Honest founder said in a video uploaded to her Instagram Story. ‘But, it’s been a good trip.’

Her longtime spouse, who she married in 2008, agreed and said their getaway was ‘so much fun.’ 

Alba also confirmed they were headed back home, as she sat in the passenger seat in a white tank top and her hair in a sleek updo. 

‘We’ve been on the road since Aug 8th -and we are ending it 1 day early,’ captioned a series of snaps on her social media. ‘We have had quite the adventure.’ 

In the first picture, the star can be seen shooting a peace sign by her husband, while her her two-year-old son Hayes smiles from the backseat.

The pair’s daughters, Honor, 12, and nine-year-old Haven, also posed for a selfie, as the sun shone through the window behind them. 

Despite some long hours in the car, Alba’s makeup looked picture-perfect, as she pursed her lips and flaunted her rosy complexion. 

While she did not tag her location or say where they were initially headed, they were most likely headed to Northern California.

At least 23 massive fires, some ignited by lightning strikes and fueled by a historic heat wave and high winds, are blazing from Napa, Sonoma, San Mateo and Contra Costa counties and have triggered rolling power blackouts and unhealthy air quality across the region.

Over the last 72 hours 10,849 lightning strikes were reported statewide, sparking roughly 367 new fires the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said in a press conference on Wednesday.

So far, authorities believe the fires have burned through 300,000 acres and have released so much smoke that it is visible from space via satellite imagery. 

At the end of July, Alba and her family headed to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
