Stacey Dash’s estranged husband Jeffrey Marty has asked a judge to annul their marriage after claiming he was ‘hypnotised’ into the union.
The lawyer is also said to have claimed he only got married after ‘hypnotic prayer techniques’ were used.
Clueless actress Stacey, 53, announced in April that the couple had ended their marriage and in June she reportedly filed for a divorce petition in Pasco County, Florida.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, Jeffrey has now filed new court papers in response to her divorce petition.
The website claims the lawyer only married Stacey as 10 days before their wedding her pastor ‘unexpectedly and suddenly proclaimed that it was God’s will’ that they got married.
Jeffrey has also reportedly cited that he was unable to consent to the nuptials as ‘hypnotic prayer techniques’ were used and there was ‘pressure from other clergies’.
TMZ claims that the lawyer hasn’t described the ‘hypnotic’ techniques used while Stacey’s attorneys ‘don’t fully admit’ to the claims.

The actress’ legal team have reportedly said that he ‘didn’t show any unusual signs about his mental state at the time’ and have also asked for an annulment.

Stacey filed for divorce from her fourth husband Jeffrey in June after nearly two years.
The 53-year-old actress filed her divorce petition in Pasco County, Florida according to legal documents obtained by TMZ at the time.

She is said to have listed the date of separation on October 1, 2019 which was just a year-and-a-half after they married on April 6, 2018.
The documents also revealed that the two had not owned any personal property jointly which would need to be divided.
Stacey also claimed her income to be $2,500 per month.
Back on April 30, the actress addressed her 157K followers on Instagram as she made the announcement that she was moving on from her fourth husband.

The Clueless star and lawyer married in April 2018 in Florida reportedly just 10 days after they first met.
Stacey was arrested for investigation of domestic battery in September in Florida.

Body camera footage of her arrest showed Dash handcuffed while being placed in the back of a squad car.
Dash had called police to her Florida home claiming that her husband had placed her in a chokehold.
She was arrested for investigation of domestic battery after Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deputies who arrived on the scene observed that Jeffrey had red scratch marks on his left arm.

Dash was previously married to Brian Lovell, James Maby and Emmanuel Xuereb.
