RHOBH: Teddi Mellencamp calls out bogus tweet that claimed she was leaving the show

‘Fake news!’ Teddi Mellencamp calls out bogus tweet that claimed she was leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Teddi Mellencamp wants you all to know that she isn’t exiting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills anytime soon.

The Bravo star reassured fans on Wednesday, after a fake tweet began circulating that appeared to show her posting a statement about leaving the series.

The bogus tweet read, in part, ‘After 3 seasons, I have decided to walk away from the show. I wish the cast, production and Bravo all the best in future seasons, and I am grateful that I have made some lifelong friends out of this experience.’

Not leaving! Teddi Mellencamp has denied rumors she is set to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after someone doctored a fake tweet from her saying she was quitting

However, Teddi, 39, wasn’t not going to let that slide and quickly let fans know that that someone had forged the screenshot, as she re-posted it with the caption: ‘#FAKENEWS.’

‘I didn’t tweet this but thanks for the extra press,’ she said, while also adding on Twitter, ‘Whoever made that fake tweet thanks for the extra press.’

Teddi has certainly had her fill of Internet trolls lately, after taking to Instagram last week to reveal that she had been getting death threats, amid all the drama on the show, and was forced to disable her comments.

‘I have always loved doing Real Housewives, the good, the bad, the ugly, because I know it’s an escape for so many people watching,’ the daughter of singing star John Mellencamp said in an emotional video.

‘But what’s happening right now is taking it to the next level. I had so many comments on my last post saying they wish I was dead, wishing harmful things on my children, and that’s really where enough is enough.’

She concluded: ‘You guys tune in for drama, then enjoy the drama, but coming after people you do not know and wishing they died has got to stop.’

Teddi’s emotional plea followed an episode from last week that included a furious row between Denise Richards and several other Housewives including Teddi during a restaurant dinner in Rome.

Brandi Glanville has alleged that she once had an affair with Denise, who has staunchly denied it and blew up at her co-stars at dinner because she felt she had been relentlessly ‘interrogated’ about the subject.

The group outing erupted into a fight where Denise called her co-stars ‘Mean Girls,’ which other women including Teddi strenuously objected to.

‘I’m glad that you shared how you were feeling, but I also think calling a group of people Mean Girls when you’re saying you’re not a judgmental person is very s***ty,’ Teddi told Denise at the dinner table.

Denise, a onetime Bond girl who was once married to Charlie Sheen, eventually fled the scene before a producer convinced her to return.

During the dinner Denise was also confronted with accusations that she had badmouthed her co-stars to Brandi.
