Lisa Snowdon is mortified as she is surprised with her old Argos catalogue fashion shoots

She made her name as one of Britain’s top fashion models.

But Lisa Snowdon was horrified as she was forced to relive some of her early shoots on This Morning on Thursday.

The star, 49, was shown a number of her old magazine shots by hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, leaving her mortified.

Surprising the former Strictly star, Ruth said: ‘Guess who used to model in the Argos catalogue? There she is, in the early 90s, that’s our Lisa.’

Lisa replied: ‘Oh my God it was probably about 25 years ago, maybe even longer, I don’t even remember.’

The presenters were looking through old copies of the Argos catalogue after the retailer announced it was coming to an end.

It comes after the star revealed she has ‘made peace’ with the fact she will never have children with her fiancé George Smart during a candid interview last month.

The TV presenter told Ok! magazine that she knows ‘being a mum wasn’t meant for her in this life’, as she discussed her future with George, 41.

The This Morning regular insisted that she doesn’t feel ‘childless’, due to the close nature of the relationships she has with her nieces and nephews.

Lisa and George announced their engagement in 2017, after the entrepreneur surprised her with a ring while making her coffee one morning.

When questioned about whether she sees them having children, Lisa replied: ‘No, no, no! I’m going to be 49 in January. I can’t believe it.’

‘I’ve totally made peace with it now. Being a mum wasn’t meant for me in this life. My niece Willow is bonkers, she’s just like me. We’ve got five little nieces and nephews all under the age of eight and they’ve this little crazy bunch.’

Explaining that she doesn’t feel ‘childless’, the star added: ‘We get to hug them and then we get to say goodbye. We don’t feel childless because Willow is always texting me and we’ve got a lot of contact with them on a daily basis.’

George agreed that they feel ‘very lucky’ to have nieces and nephews, before sweetly admitting that Lisa has always been his ‘priority’.

Earlier this year, Lisa said she often feels ‘sad’ seeing families on Instagram after deciding to not have children – but says she enjoys the ‘freedom’ it brings her lifestyle.

The model, who is unable to conceive naturally, told Closer she discussed having children through IVF with her fiancé, shortly after they became engaged.

They ultimately chose not to go through the ‘tough process’ of fertility treatment.

While Hertfordshire-born Lisa insisted she couldn’t be happier with entrepreneur George, there are times when it’s difficult to see other people with their children on social media.

Speaking about how she decided against going down the route of IVF, she told the magazine: ‘I knew I was well into my 40s and it would be a tough process and I very much enjoyed the freedom our lifestyles gave us.

‘Although I have moments when I feel sad seeing Instagram pages with pictures of other people’s kids, I’m a realist. But I feel so blessed that I’ve met George and I really couldn’t be happier with how things are’.

The TV presenter, who had a fertility test when she was 39 which showed her chances of falling pregnant would be low, admitted she had even considered freezing her eggs.

But after thinking long and hard about children, her Yorkshire-born partner told her he ‘just wanted to be with her’.
