Lili Reinhart ‘knew full well’ that she was ‘attracted to women from a young age’

Lili Reinhart shed her extra layers for an intimate new interview and smoldering photoshoot with Flaunt magazine.

The Riverdale talent, 23, didn’t censor herself, opening up about her sexuality, lifelong struggles with anxiety, and passion for activism in the pages of the fashion glossy.

While Lili only came out as bisexual in June, she told the magazine: ‘I knew full well that I was attracted to women from a young age.’

But she was hesitant about going public, worried that she’d be labeled as an attention-seeker – or worse.

‘I felt that since I’ve exclusively been in hetero-normative relationships, it would be too easy for any outsider, especially the media, to vilify me and accuse me of faking it to get attention,’ said Reinhart, whose high-profile relationship with co-star Cole Sprouse ended around May.

‘That’s not something I wanted to deal with. But to my close friends, and those in my life, my bisexuality has been no secret.’

Things shifted for Lili after she attended her first Black Lives Matter protest in LA’s queer-friendly enclave of West Hollywood. There she found herself inspired by the solidarity between the LGBTQ community and BIPOC fighting for justice.

‘It was incredible to be surrounded by so many people who are actively fighting against the injustices that are happening right now,’ she said. ‘Enough is enough and hopefully we’ll see real change from the actions that are now being taken.’

The Hustlers actress has put her words into action by inviting BIPOC activists and authors to speak speak to her 24.5million Instagram followers.

‘I felt that I wasn’t doing enough,’ she admitted. ‘And I felt that it was lame to keep reposting what everyone else is posting so I asked myself: “Okay, what do I have to offer?” I definitely learned a lot from the conversations I’ve been having.

‘While it’s important to be an ally in this movement, Black voices cannot be muffled by other voices. This is their time to be heard. White people have to acknowledge their f***ing privilege, which exists, and is very real. It’s important that we don’t just sit on our a**es and let someone else fight this fight for us because it involves absolutely everyone.’

If the interview didn’t make it clear, Lili’s vibrant energy is more the evident in the accompanying photospread, where she radiates attitude in an array of looks from Fendi’s 2020 pre-fall collection.

Reinhart is the image of unfettered confidence on the cover, where she poses in just a pair of monogrammed tights, a cropped cardigan and a high-cut thong.

Not afraid to take up space, she boldly spread her legs while leaning back on the bed and staring out the window of LA’s Hotel Figueroa.

Another look offers up a dreamier side, covering Lili in sheer pink silk with ruffles along the edges.

While Lili’s star power was undeniable in the photos, she’s said she’s been using quarantine to slow down from the ‘whirlwind’ of life in the spotlight.

‘I’m not the same person I was when I flew back from Canada to get back into the States when the borders closed [in March],’ Reinhart told the magazine. ‘The past few years have been so hectic. I often refer to it as a whirlwind.

‘I’ve been using this time [in quarantine] to let my mind, body, and soul catch up with one another because they can get really muddled. Everything just happened so fast since I started my career that I didn’t have the time to process much.’
