A savvy homeowner who raffled off his £415,000 property in south London for £2 a ticket has launched another competition – after being inundated with messages praising him for giving people an opportunity to get onto the property ladder.
Daniel Twenefour, 29, previously sold his own newly refurbished three-bedroom house in Mitcham, south London via an online raffle and claims he surpassed his target of selling 200,000 tickets to raise £400,000.
The lucky winner was handed 6 Tramway Path mortgage-free, with all fees paid by Daniel, a technical project manager, as part of the prize.
Now he’s teamed up with his two brothers Jason and Will to help another homeowner who is struggling to sell his three-bedroom flat in Whyteleafe, Surrey, which is valued at £425,000.

Speaking to FEMAIL, Daniel – who lives in nearby Purley with his wife – explained: ‘The owner had it on the market during lockdown but couldn’t sell it.
‘He also needs to get the full market value of the property in order to not walk away with any debt, so as part of the raffle he’s getting the full market value – typically up to 10 per cent would have been negotiated off.
‘They wouldn’t be able to do this via the traditional estate agent route – we’ll potentially save them thousands. It’s leasehold with 122 years left on the lease, with the option of extension.
‘This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to live mortgage-free. The property can be used as your main home or as a second property for investment and rental purposes. The average rental for a property of this spec is around £2,000 per month.’

He said: ‘After the success of my first house raffle, I was inundated with messages and emails to do another to help people get on the property ladder.
‘Some mentioned they’ve been saving for years but still aren’t close to getting the means together to buy a property, so I’ve decided to do it again.
‘As part of this initiative we’ll also be helping individuals who may be struggling to sell their property.

As part of the raffle, Daniel will make a donation to the mental health charity Mind. After his previous competition he made donations to local charities including Jigsaw4U – focused on caring for vulnerable young people in the area – and the NHS Charities Together, a federation of over 250 charitable organisations that support the National Health Service, its staff, volunteers and patients.
