Simone Biles took to Instagram on Sunday to confirm her budding romance with football player Jonathan Owens, 25.
In a series of back-to-back snapshots, the 23-year-old Olympic gymnast could not help but beam as she cozied up to Owens, who plays safety for the Houston Texans.
‘it’s just us,’ captioned Biles, who boasts 3.9million followers on the platform.

Simone had her hair styled into long, flowing braids and she showcased her enviable abs in a sheer black top and a coordinating bra.
Owens took control of the camera as he posed behind Biles’ 4foot8inch frame.
In one of the shots, he nuzzled his nose into Biles’ neck, while she smiled sweetly with her eyes closed.
Jonathan reshared a photo of himself standing next to Simone on his Instagram Story. He included a red heart emoji and fingers crossed emoji on the post.

Owens was signed by the Houston Texans football team in September of last year, which he shared proudly on social media.
‘Never doubted his plan even when the vision wasn’t clear. Thank you @houstontexans for the opportunity, ready to get to work,’ he wrote at the time.
Earlier this month, Biles revealed to Vogue that she had ended her nearly three-year relationship with fellow gymnast Stacey Ervin Jr., 26, back in March.
‘It’s hard being young and having that long of a relationship and then ending it,’ she admitted.

But despite her history with Stacey and their emotional ties, Simone said that the split ‘was for the best.’
Simone and Stacey went public with their relationship in 2017, after meeting at World Champions Centre – which is run by Simone’s parents – in Spring of that year.
Similar to her romance with Owens, Simone confirmed her relationship with Stacey via Instagram in August of 2017.
After going public, the couple made regular appearances on each other’s social media accounts, while Simone happily gushed over Stacey in multiple interviews, describing the gymnast-turned-WWE wrestler as the ‘man of her dreams’.

However, Simone now appears to have deleted all images of the athlete from her Instagram account – with just one photo of Stacey left: a group shot that features him, Simone, and two other friends.
Similarly, Stacey has removed every trace of Simone from his own feed – leaving up solo images from their trip to Belize while taking down any snaps that featured his former girlfriend.
On Saturday, Simone was clearly feeling the immense bliss that comes with new love as she posed in her backyard.
