Pregnant Ashley James displays her blossoming baby bump in a crop top and leggings

She announced last week that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend of nine months, Tom Andrews.

And Ashley James displayed her blossoming baby bump in a crop top and leggings, on Sunday morning as she took to her Instagram stories to reveal that although she was dressed for a workout, the workout didn’t happen.

Later that day, the former Made In Chelsea star, 33, glammed up with freshly styled hair and a full face of make-up, for a day out to Port Isaac in Cornwall.

All the gear: Ashley James, 33, took to Instagram on Sunday morning, to display her blossoming baby bump in a crop top and multicoloured leggings

Taking a Boomerang selfie in a mirror, Ashley ensured her baby bump was on display as she stood in her multicoloured leggings and navy blue sports bra.

‘Got into workout gear to do a workout… Didn’t do a workout,’ she wrote alongside.

‘If anyone can recommend any good pregnancy yoga classes please let me know as I’ve not exercised for weeks and dying to move my body,’ added the mum-to-be.

Last week, Ashley admitted she didn’t envision herself getting pregnant a few months ago and it has been ‘quite a surreal change’ because she still feels like the ‘eternally single girl’.

Taking to her Instagram stories Ashley said: ‘I’m just trying to adapt to people knowing and this new experience in life.

‘I’m not going to turn into one of those people who only talk about pregnancy and babies. I’m still very passionate about single positivity. It’s weird I almost feels like I’m in two dimensions that this is happening.

‘A year ago I felt like this wasn’t ever going to happen to me. Not even a year ago a few months ago.’

In May, at the height of the pandemic, Ashley discovered she was expecting a child and penned a ‘love letter’ to her body.

She re-shared it on Instagram on Tuesday, revealing the true reasons she posted it earlier in the year.

She wrote: ‘This was a love letter to my body because I was having a baby and I knew it would never look the same again and I wanted to celebrate it and the journey it goes on over the next few months.

‘Our bodies are amazing, they need to be celebrated not punished!’

During her interview with Hello!, which took place at Tom’s parents’ home in Dordogne, Ashley said of the news: ‘From the moment I found out, it felt so right.’

However, while she’s elated at impending motherhood, the blonde beauty – who was single for six years before meeting Tom – was never particularly maternal.

‘It’s been such a 360-degree shift for me,’ she told the publication. ‘I’ve never been that maternal. When friends have been like: “I want to meet someone, settle down and have children,” I never felt the same. I guess I’ve been a free spirit.’

Ashley and tech professional Tom, who began dating nine months ago, in October, first met ten years ago.

Such is the couple’s commitment to one another than Tom has given Ashley a Cartier Trinity ring, although she insists that they’re ‘not interested’ in engagement or marriage, and want the accessory to ‘symbolise’ them and their baby as a family.
