Demi Lovato posts intimate behind-the-scenes photos of her engagement

She couldn’t contain her joy earlier this week when she announced her engagement to her fiancé Max Ehrich.

Demi Lovato came back for seconds on Sunday with more behind-the-scenes photos from her lovely seaside proposal.

The 27-year-old pop star posted the original candid shots that captured the actual proposal, before the more refined but staged pictures she initially shared.

Demi shared three photos in a single post, with the first capturing Max as he took a knee to ask for her hand in marriage.

She went in for a kiss in the next picture while holding her white heels in one hand so as not to dirty them.

After sealing it with a kiss, the two lovers embraced in the final image, which showed Demi wrapping her arms tightly around Max and pulling him down for a hug.

‘Best night of my life… still soaking it all up.. I love you baby,’ she wrote, before tagging her fiancé.

‘And you make me want to be the best version of myself. I’m honored to accept your hand in marriage… I love you more than a caption could express but I’m ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby…’

The couple were spotted at the swanky Japanese restaurant Nobu Malibu shortly afterward in the same outfits as their engagement photos.

The couple first revealed their relationship earlier this year amid reports that they were quarantining together.

‘Long before I had an engagement ring on my ring finger, I had the word “me” to remind myself that no matter what, I vow to love myself. You can’t fully love another without loving yourself first,’ she wrote.

‘Thank you God for this peace and understanding but most of all giving me the strength to fight through my darkest times. Thank you to my family, friends and fans for always supporting me and respecting my privacy regarding this journey.. I love you all,’ she concluded.

On July 24, Demi was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering an opioid overdose that was reportedly from fentanyl-laced oxycodone.

She was revived via naloxone and spent multiple weeks in the hospital before transferring to an in-patient rehab facility.

She subsequently revealed that her management team’s overbearing insistence on her losing weight, combined with a bulimia relapse, contributed to the overdose.
