Big Brother Australia winner Chad Hurst is feeling slightly worse for wear after his epic victory was broadcast on Wednesday’s live finale.

The international model cracked open a beer as soon as Seven’s program had gone to air, and began celebrating at the network’s Sydney studios.

Chad, 27, told Daily Mail Australia on Thursday that he didn’t get home until the early hours of the morning.

Chad said all the housemates hung around the event to help mark his milestone achievement, before partying elsewhere separately.

Big Brother’s after party appeared to break COVID-19 rules as cast, crew and guests packed the Channel Seven studio to celebrate Chad’s victory.

Earlier on stage, the housemates had mingled, hugged and kissed each other as the excitement reached a fever pitch with confetti cannons and cheering.

While the interactions seemed close within the large group, Seven had made strict COVID-19 checks and inductions mandatory for all guests in attendance.

Chad made the rounds at the party with a beer in hand.

The reality TV hunk looked cool, clam and collected as he chatted with his housemates, their family and friends, and Seven staff.

After his win, Chad told host Sonia Kruger on stage that he intended to use a portion of the cash prize to shout a boys’ trip.

‘We had the after party with the housemates at the event and then the boys were at the pub waiting for me, so I went around there and had a few beers with the lads. It was nice,’ Chad told Daily Mail Australia.

‘I think the housemates went somewhere after that, but I just went to catch up with my mates because I knew I had to get up early so I just went out with them, had some beers, and pulled the pin,’ he said, adding he got home around 2AM.

Other housemates had documented their wild night out on the town without Chad or his ‘girlfriend’ Sophie Budack on Instagram.

Housemates who had predominately been ‘team alpha’ in the house appeared to party with runner-up Daniel Gorringe instead.

‘I’ve felt better before, I’m not going to lie,’ Chad joked after he was asked if he was feeling a little hungover after his night on the town.
