Big Brother finalists Daniel Gorringe, Chad Hurst and Sophie Budack made final plea for public vote

Big Brother Australia will crown its winner during Wednesday night’s live finale.

And the reboot’s top three have now made their final plea for the public’s backing.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Daniel Gorrigne, Chad Hurst and Sophie Budack campaigned for votes from viewers who had followed their journey on TV.

After 40 days in Big Brother’s house, the three finalists on Seven’s reboot have very different reasons for why they deserve the win.

Former AFL star Daniel Gorringe says if the Australian public want an underdog to win, they should vote for him and not ‘fan favourites’ Chad and Sophie.

‘Since day one I had a target on my back from Angela [Clancy] and her group and I was able to carry that target and not get hit for 40 days… I hope it’s something Australia can admire,’ he said.

Despite his ‘bad edit’ in recent weeks, the former bookies’ favourite feels that he has given viewers a ‘fairly good blueprint of how to win Big Brother’.

The 28-year-old said if he wins the cash prize he would put a deposit down for a house in Melbourne with his partner Anna Cannon.

‘With these tough COVID times, I would look after my friends and family. Also the contestants that have looked after me, I would give them a nice gift,’ he said.

Reuniting with Anna in recent months, Daniel says he’s also been showing Anna potential engagement rings as they’ve discussed marriage in their future.

CHAD HURST

International model Chad Hurst applied for Big Brother to honour his late father, and he knows even if he doesn’t win he’ll have made his old man proud.

‘I was on the show for dad, and I know I’ve made him proud now, but it would be good to take home the money to pay ma’s bills. She bloody deserves it,’ he said.

Chad, 27, said if he won the cash prize, he would pay his mother’s bills and shout a boys’ trip to The Whitsundays, given COVID-19 has removed Las Vegas as an option.

When asked why the public should vote for him to win, the reality TV hunk said he ‘played a very fair game’.

‘The game I played was pretty black and white – I never got caught up in any drama or bi***ed about anyone. I played a loyal game and stuck to my morals. I’m proud of that,’ he said.

‘We all deserve to win, but I’m the only girl left there and I’m doing it for every girl that was told “no you can’t do that. That’s a boys’ thing”,’ she said.

Sophie said the public should see her as a ‘deserving winner’ because she ‘fought hard’, ‘kept [her] morals and wits’ and was ‘always the nice guy in the house’.

While other 25-year-old’s may see $230,000 as a chance to splurge on something lavish, Sophie said she would want to invest the cash in her future.

‘I’m not thinking bougie at all. I’m thinking of my career and I’m studying so I have university debt. If I win, I want to set myself up for the future. I don’t want to be sitting here in a year’s time, back at square one with no money,’ she said.

Interestingly, Sophie and Chad have claimed they will split the money if either of them win.

‘It’s only fair if one of us won, we’d share. We came in together and did everything together. To share the money is the right thing to do,’ Chad said.

Sophie agreed, saying: ‘We have come up with a deal that the winner will give a cut of the money to the other person. That’s without a question – we’re both equaling deserving of the win.’

Daniel, Chad and Sophie are competing for a reduced prize of $234,656, after Kieran Davidson stole more than $15,000 from the winner’s kitty last week.
