Malin Andersson exudes confidence in a green snakeskin dress for dinner in Mayfair as she reveals her mother ‘contributed’ to her eating disorder

Malin Andersson looked sensational as she enjoyed a night out in Mayfair on Saturday evening.

The Love Island star, 26, has also bravely spoke about her eating disorder and revealed that her late mother, Consy, ‘contributed’ to it.

For her night out, Malin exuded confidence in a green snakeskin off-the-shoulder midi dress.

Adding some glamorous touches, she opted for a pair of oversized hooped earrings and black heeled sandals.

Malin styled her brunette locks into a sleek sweptback bun, she added a slick of make-up which included a bold red lipstick.

Her appearance comes as she bravely spoke about her eating disorder and admitted that her late mother, Consy, ‘contributed’ to it.

Speaking in her OK! Magazine column, Malin said that she believes the pressure from her mum and beauty pageants that she competed in as a child affected her negatively as an adult.

The Love Islander revealed that her late mother, Consy, pressured her to look a certain way and entered her into competitions which contributed towards her issues with food.

Although she believes her mum didn’t know any better, Malin shared the lasting-impact her childhood trauma had on her eating disorder.   

She wrote in her column: ‘Because my mum starved her whole life, she wanted me to look a certain way and go into beauty pageants.

‘She wanted us to be healthy and have the right food so we were restricted from junk food a lot.’

As a teenager and beyond, her eating disorder surfaced through calorie counting, binge eating and constantly monitoring how much she weighed.

She added: ‘That’s childhood trauma. It wasn’t my mum’s fault because she didn’t know any better.’

As part of her road to recovery, Malin believes it’s important to heal from childhood trauma and forgive parents for any missteps they make. 

The activist concluded her column by saying that she has ‘fully healed’ and offered support to anyone else going through the same thing.

Malin tragically lost her mother Consy to cancer in 2017, while her daughter, also named Consy, tragically passed away in January 2019 after she was born seven weeks premature.
