Tatt’s dedication! The Voice superfan gets contestant Matt Gresham’s lyrics TATTOOED on her leg

A Voice Australia superfan has had contestant Matt Gresham’s lyrics tattooed on her body as a tribute to the singer.

Matt recently shared a photo of the tattoo to Instagram and admitted he was impressed by the fan’s dedication.

‘This made my day,’ he said of the inking, which consisted of the lyrics to his 2018 song Who I Am Now.

The 31-year-old then joked: ‘The first person to get 999 tattooed on them gets a name mention in my next album.’

Much to Matt’s surprise, the same fan took his challenge literally and had the number 999 tattooed below the lyrics on her leg.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the 23-year-old fan said she’d decided to get Matt’s lyrics tattooed because she had connected so strongly with his music.

‘There’s literally so much more meaning behind the lyrics for me though, it’s just too much to put into words,’ she said.

She admitted that she ‘wouldn’t have been able to make it the tough times’ over the past five years if it hadn’t been for Matt’s songs.

Matt raised eyebrows earlier in the season after it was revealed he was friends with coach Guy Sebastian.

Speaking out following the revelation, Matt admitted he had written five songs for Guy’s last album, all of which were rejected.

Matt, who was later eliminated during the Battle Rounds, also revealed that Guy had poked fun at him following his blind audition.

‘He even told me  afterwards, “You sang that song pretty good, but I thought you could sing it better, you know?” Just to p**s me off,’ he said.
