The Project’s Rachel Corbett reveals the reality of doing TV from home during the COVID-19 pandemic

Going to fancy events and getting your hair and makeup done for work sounds pretty glamorous. 

But, The Project panelist Rachel Corbett revealed that the reality of doing a TV show from home amid the COVID-19 pandemic isn’t so glamorous. 

The 39-year-old shared a behind-the-scenes image of herself working on the show to Instagram on Thursday. 

‘Nothing says “serious journalism” like reporting from behind an ironing board,’ she captioned the post. 

In the image Rachel is shown sitting in front of a makeshift green screen and is using an ironing board for her desk. 

The presenter is wearing a long sleeved blue patterned dress and has her brunette locks loose.  

The Project’s Instagram account also shared the photo of Rachel on Wednesday ahead of their program which featured an interview Rachel did with actor Dev Patel. 

‘Don’t ever say we don’t give you the star treatment @_rachelcorbett. Tonight on #theprojecttv catch Rachel‘s chat with Dev Patel,’ they captioned the snap.  

On Wednesday Rachel shared another behind the scenes snap from her chat with Dev, which was done via video link. 

‘The legends at @theprojecttv are putting together my chat with Dev Patel for tonight’s show. It will come as no surprise he was as delightful as you’d imagine,’ she captioned the picture. 

‘He also warmed up for the chat by doing some vacuuming…the joys of not having to leave your house for work!’ 

The actor was on the show to promote his new film, The Personal History Of David Copperfield, which will be released in Australian cinemas on July 16.
