AFLW star Moana Hope says wife Isabella Carlstrom’s pregnancy has been a ‘rollercoaster’… after a ‘dark’ first trimester

Moana Hope and her wife Isabella Carlstrom announced they were expecting their first child together last month.

And the AFLW star, 32, revealed that their pregnancy journey has been a ‘rollercoaster.’

On Friday the couple, along with Moana’s sister Vinny, appeared on The Morning Show to give an update on the experience so far.

Former Collingwood and North Melbourne AFLW player Moana said that it was a little bizarre to see Isabella go from being sick, to suddenly feeling better.

‘One minute she’s in bed and the next minute she’s saying, “let’s do something”. It’s been a roller coaster, but it’s all worth it,’ Moana said.

Model Isabella, 27, said that she’s finally ‘feeling a lot better’ after the ‘dark phase of the first trimester.’

‘We’re halfway Wednesday next week, and finally out of the dark phase of the first trimester,’ Isabella said.

‘We did that,’ Moana wrote in the caption as she thanked Melbourne IVF centre. ‘Our little bub is in there. November where you at.’

The Survivor star announced that her wife was pregnant back in May, following three unsuccessful rounds of IVF.

‘I don’t yet have the words to fully explain how happy we are. It’s a dream come true for us and in November we get to meet our little person,’ Moana wrote.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate garden wedding back in August 2019.
