Comedian Ed Kavalee reveals the most difficult celebrity to work with on improv show Thank God You’re Here – and says they would DESTROY the set during filming
Radio host Ed Kavalee worked alongside a slew of hilarious actors and comedians on Thank God You’re Here from 2006 to 2009.
And on Friday, the 40-year-old funnyman revealed the most difficult star to work with on the improvisational comedy show.
Ed, who was part of the ensemble cast during the show’s four-season run on Channel 10, told News.com.au that it was Shaun Micallef because he would go out of his way to cause chaos on set.

‘He would pick up things, he would flip pieces of the set and he would try and open doors on the set that weren’t meant to open,’ Ed said.
The format of the show involved the host, Shane Bourne, inviting a guest comedian to walk through a door and onto a set with an ensemble cast and props.
Upon entering the scene, the guest would be told ‘thank god you’re here!’ by one of the ensemble actors, and from there they would have to improvise the scene in character for up to five minutes.

He also recalled a time during one of Shaun’s performances when he tried to drag host Shane into the scene.
‘We were all looking at each other going, “Right, if he pulls Shane in, we’re just going to have to say: Thank god you’re here, but excuse me, you’re not required,”‘ he said.

Ed also gave a special mention to comedian Frank Woodley, who would apparently try to kiss him during scenes.
‘I ended up knowing that was probably going to take place so I always had a few things in my head of how I was going to left or right him,’ he said.
Since starring on Thank God You’re Here, Ed has become a regular panellist on Channel 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention.
He also hosts the Hughesy and Ed radio show on the Hit Network alongside Dave Hughes, having replaced Kate Langbroek last year.
The TV star is married to former Biggest Loser trainer Tiffiny Hall, with whom he shares two-year-old son Arnold.
