EastEnders icon Jessie Wallace wears denim mini dress for Tesco trip

EastEnders icon Jessie Wallace endured a trip to Tesco during Thursday’s heatwave as she picked up some shopping for her family. 

Jessie looked lovely wearing a denim mini dress which was belted in at the waist. She teamed it with matching blue sliders. 

She accessorised with blue sunglasses and a chunky bracelet which had matching stones embedded in it.  

The actress, 48, who is most famous for playing Kat Slater in the famous BBC soap, was laden with shopping bags in the heat as she made her way back to her car. 

Jessie has been using her time to help the community during lockdown and she recently joined the Clean Up UK volunteer scheme. 

Along with some pals, she gave up her own time to spend the day picking up litter to preserve her local park.

Last month, Jessie hinted that she’s getting prepared to go back to work on EastEnders, as she showed off a pair of glamorous gifted earrings for her character to wear.

The actress captioned a picture of the ruby drop-earrings: ‘Thank you @nancy_and_nora for these beauty’s! Kat cannot wait to wear them [sic].’  

Jessie’s snap of the eye-catching costume jewels drew the attention of her followers, with one commenting: ‘Can’t wait for Kat to come back wearing those beauties!’

Jessie’s teased return to EastEnders comes just months after she was suspended for reportedly appearing drunk on set during filming. 

The actress, who has played fiery Kat Slater on and off for nearly two decades, was temporarily written out of storylines after her behaviour was ‘called into question’.
