She’s been enjoying lockdown with her teenage daughter Coco Arquette and her boyfriend of seven years, musician Johnny McDaid.

And Courteney Cox took a break from life at home as she was pictured heading to dinner at family-run restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on Wednesday evening.

The Friends icon, 56, proved safety comes first as she teamed her stylish outfit with a protective face mask while entering the eatery.

Nailing casual chic, the actress stunned in a pale brown turtleneck jumper, ankle-grazing jeans and stiletto boots.

The media personality carried her essentials in a plain black handbag and accessorised with a gold chain necklace while keeping herself refreshed some water.

With her tresses styled into a curly fashion, Courteney highlighted her radiant complexion with neutral-toned make-up.

Her outing came after WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer chairman Bob Greenblatt revealed the Friends reunion with HBO Max would begin filming in ‘mid-to-late August’.

However, recent reports suggest production for the hotly-anticipated edition could be pushed back if the coronavirus pandemic doesn’t improve.

Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman told The Wrap that while the HBO Max special is still currently expected to commence filming in two months, she admitted it’s ‘unclear’ if returning to set would be safe by then.

Despite being worried about a ‘second wave’, multiple infectious disease experts say the US is still in the midst of its first wave, and therefore at even greater risk as cities begin to reopen their economies across the country, according to NBC.

One possible solution to maintain their current schedule could include shooting the special remotely, with each of the actors filming from home.

Friends executive producer and director Kevin Bright admitted the compromise would be a ‘disappointing’ route to take when he appeared on Maria Menounos’ talk show Better Together in May.

‘We’ve waited this long,’ he said, while advocating for an in-person special.

‘We feel the reunion needs to be done in front of an audience; we can’t not share it after all this time,’ he explained, before revealing that the show is now tentatively scheduled to be completed by Thanksgiving in November.
