And on Tuesday, Rebel Wilson hinted that the cast have been working on a special project, after being quizzed by fans.
The 40-year-old Australian star was asked by one follower if there will be a fourth film, before she gave a cryptic reply.

‘Pitch Perfect four pls! Tell the amazing nerds,’ one fan commented underneath Rebel’s latest Instagram post.
Rebel replied: ‘We may have been working on something super small together to put out for you guys to spread the “love” x.’
Her comment received over 1,900 likes, while another fan probed her again about a fourth film.

‘Can you please ask the producers or something to make a Pitch Perfect four, because if I watch the 3rd without even knowing there is gonna be a fourth one I’ll cry,’ one fan wrote.
They added: ‘I even cried [in] the second one thinking about how it was the Bellas’ last performance in college.’
There are three films in the hit series, with Pitch Perfect three being released in 2017. It reportedly grossed $185million worldwide.
Rebel stars in the hit films alongside the likes of Brittany Snow and Anna Kendrick. She appears as the character ‘Fat Amy.’

Back in 2017 Rebel, who has recently lost an impressive 18kg, spoke about how filming the third installment in the franchise made her conquer her fear of heights.
Appearing on the Late Night With Seth Meyers, revealed the script required her to do a 20 foot (six metre) free fall jump with co-star Anna Kendrick.
‘I know I seem pretty tough but I am afraid of heights, that’s the one thing I’m afraid of and I had to do this 20 foot jump 10 times … and each time (I was) petrified (and) thought I was gonna die,’ she said.

The Sydney-born actress also credited Anna with keeping her calm each time they were being back hoisted up.
‘She would sing random stuff to distract me, like she was singing a lot of Bette Midler classics… and I’d be like “keep singing, keep singing”.
Rebel also told the talk show host that her background in martial arts helped with stunt training for the film.
‘It was so much fun, like I did my own stunts and I fight off a lot of bad guys in the film when the rest of the Bellas get kidnapped and it was really cool,’ she said.
Rebel explained while the other actresses were busy doing dance classes, she was completing ‘hardcore action training’.
