‘Look what happens when I play music’: Christine McGuinness shares video of her autistic daughter Felicity, 3, singing after revealing lockdown has affected her communication skills

Christine McGuinness shared a beautiful video on Instagram of her daughter Felicity singing along to Louis Armstrong song, What A Wonderful World on Thursday.

The 32-year-old had put the song on while sitting in the car with her youngest child, three, who has autism and has been struggling with speech and communication.

Doting mother Christine kept the camera on herself as Felicity sang along to the words and the joy on her face was clear to see.

She wrote: ‘Sound ON for some sweet vibes of cuteness overload from Mariah McGuinness in the back seat ❤️.

‘You wouldn’t believe how much lockdown affected my Felicity’s speech and communication skills.

‘It was her biggest regression and whilst she is no where near talking the way she was before, look what happens when I play music… just listen to her.

‘Voice of an angel this one! #ProudestMummy. #OurSong. #whatawonderfulworld. #MyBabygirl. #autismAwareness.’

Christine and her husband, TV star Paddy are also parents to twins Leo and Penelope, six, who have autism, too.

The model has been very outspoken about her children’s journey with autism which has no doubt helped other parents going through the same thing.

Back in February, Christine had said: ‘Recently our youngest daughter Felicity was also diagnosed with autism, three years after our twins Leo and Penelope were diagnosed.

‘Going through this journey again does still bring some heartache knowing all three children will face challenges and difficulties that others won’t.

‘But ultimately I feel confident as a family we are in a much stronger place, we are able to use our experience and knowledge as power helping us to feel well prepared.

‘We are here to love and support our three extra special children and I thank god every day these babies are mine. Proudest mummy.’
