Mira Sorvino braves the chilly waters in a wetsuit

Temperatures are rising as summer nears.

But Mira Sorvino kept her cool with a family beach day over the weekend.

The actress, 52, splashed around in the Malibu surf with her husband Christopher Backus, 38, and their eight-year-old daughter Lucia.

Mira emerged from the surf soaking wet, after braving the chilly ocean water in her protective wet suits.   

The actress was in high spirits while walking through the crashing waves, pink ‘Napa’ hat remaining on her head. 

The Mighty Aphrodite actress was in sync with her husband as she walked out of the water, and appeared to be holding his hand. 

At one point, Christopher enjoyed some quality father-daughter time with his little girl Lucia.

The duo admired the ocean blue as Christopher carried Lucia around in his arms. 

Mira and her family have been breaking up their quarantine routine with trips to the beach. 

Mira and Christopher met in 2003 and married the following year both in a courthouse ceremony and a hilltop wedding in Capri, Italy.

Along with Lucia they also share daughter Mattea, 15, and sons Johnny, 14, and Holden, 10.

Mira recently appeared on small screens in the star-studded Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan-created miniseries Hollywood on Netflix.  

A re-imagining of Hollywood’s golden era, the show as released last month and boasted a cast of Laura Herrier, Dylan McDermott, and Darren Criss.   

The show recently was released on the streaming platform on May 1 and received mixed-reviews.
