Nothing can stop the music! The Wiggles perform live-streamed concert at the Sydney Opera House after their tour was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic

The Wiggles won’t let a pandemic keep them down.

The entertainers made sure their fans, who missed out on their tour, which was cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreak, could still enjoy a live show.

On Sunday, the group performed a live-streamed concert at the Sydney Opera House, taking the stage at the Joan Sutherland Theatre.

Anthony Field, Emma Watkins, Lachlan Gillespie and Simon Pryce were all there along with guitarist Oliver Brian, to churn through their biggest hits, albeit in an empty auditorium.

Emma Watkins, dressed in her classic yellow jumper, rolled up to the venue in the band’s iconic Big Red Car.

They happily performed their iconic songs, as well as their latest, called Social Distancing.

The Wiggles took the stage as part of the From Our House to Yours program, which sees the Sydney Opera House recording performances on-site to broadcast to audiences at home around the world.

In March, Blue Wiggle Anthony Field told The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential that the group planned on tackling the coronavirus pandemic with live streaming.

‘With the current situation around the world, we are looking at different ways of bringing our shows to audience, and live streaming seems to be a perfect solution,’ the 57-year-old said.
