The hilarious TikTok video titled ‘what it’s like living in Australia’ shows the monster marsupial keeping a watchful eye on the street as the creature takes a domineering stance next to a vehicle in the driveway.

Users on the social media platform commented that the kangaroo looks like a bouncer.

Some TikTok users were bewildered and frightened by the strange behaviour of the kangaroo on the New South Wales south coast at Jervis Bay.

‘Oh wow, look at the height. Oh my god it’s a huge one. Same height as the car. Scary!’ one person wrote.

Another said: ‘Well whoa. Someone is staying inside all day.’ 

‘This thing will box you up … What a beast!’ others commented.

But many Australians found the video very ‘relatable’.

‘Legit a thing. I’ve seen this,’ a user said.

‘A house up the road from where I work has a big boomer and he hangs out the front of that particular house just like this.’

Another person joked: ‘Why get a guard dog when you can get a Kangaroo?’
