McDonald’s will reopen 11 restaurants for walk-in customers next week

McDonald’s will reopen 11 restaurants for walk-in customers NEXT WEEK at motorway service stations – but dining areas will remain shut

McDonald’s has today announced a new ‘walk in’ service from next week which will allow customers to collect orders at the till.

The fast food giant reopened 1,000 restaurants last week with people able to order via McDelivery or by driving through one of 923 drive-thrus.

On Wednesday, June 17, McDonald’s will reopen 11 Roadchef service station restaurants to the public – allowing those at selected motorway stations the chance to place takeaway orders in person.

This will gradually roll-out to high street, town and city centre restaurants across the UK and Ireland from Wednesday, June 24.

The chain added that breakfast will be back on the menu from June 24 as part of plans to get back to business.

It comes after stores reopened with a restricted menu last month, due lower staff numbers and social distancing in kitchens.

‘Tomorrow, we’ll switch McDelivery back on in over 570 restaurants across the UK and Ireland,’ the statement added.
