Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski shares rare photos of her husband Tim Loden and their son

Yvonne Strahovski is known for her role as the cold and cruel Serena Joy Waterford in the dystopian series A Handmaiden’s Tale.

But the Australian-born actress, 37, appeared far from her fictional character as she shared rare and intimate photos of her family out on a hike on Wednesday.

The first Instagram image showed the doting mother huddled with her husband Tim Loden and their one-year-old son in front of a camp fire as they watched the sun set.

Among her nature photos was a picture of her little boy wearing a cosy green puffer coat as her husband follows behind him, carrying a large red backpack.

Yvonne also captured an image showing the father and son in a running race.  

She kept the caption her Instagram post simple and wrote: ‘Alone.’

While the LA-based actress rarely shares photo of her family, last week she delighted fans with a picture of herself and her son bonding over a yellow truck.

‘Ahh nothing beats these moments,’ she boasted in the caption.

Yvonne and her husband married in 2017, and welcomed their first son in October 2018.

Yvonne has developed quite the fan base in recent years for her role as Serena Joy Waterford in A Handmaiden’s Tale. 

In an interview with Vogue Australia in July 2018, she confessed she had never even read the critically acclaimed novel before accepting her role in the series. 

But she said the opportunity to play Serena was too good an opportunity to turn down. 

‘I found her quite mesmerising, because I didn’t have all the answers to her and didn’t have her backstory [back then],’ she confessed.

‘So, to me, all that loneliness, bitterness and emotional instability were the first things I noticed about this character, and I loved the complexity of her and the rest of the characters.’ 

Aside the upcoming season four of A Handmaiden’s Tale, Yvonne is set to star alongside Avengers star Chris Pratt in The Tomorrow War.
