Naomi Watts, 51, welcomes a new addition to her growing family

Hollywood actress Naomi Watts and her family have a new pet. 

The 51-year-old Australian star shared a number of photos of their adopted puppy, Izzy to Instagram this week. 

‘New family member alert with Izzy the pup,’ Naomi captioned her post. 

The 21 Grams star then held out the puppy to the camera, looking completely overjoyed with their new furry friend.

Just days earlier, Naomi had shared a clip of the tiny pup running around on the green grass in her garden. 

‘Meet Izzy!’ she wrote. 

The new addition comes after Naomi recently admitted she was struggling a little during the coronavirus pandemic. 

The actress candidly revealed she had ‘shed a few tears’ while penning a heartfelt message to fans about mental health..  

The Hollywood heavyweight shared a picture of herself holding out her hand and told her followers that it was OK to feel a mix of emotions in these trying times. 

‘During these horrific times, I, like so many people, go to the ‘gram for a little levity and hopefully some good news,’ Naomi wrote.

‘For the past few weeks I’ve tried to use my feed to provide some humour, to share with family, friends, and fans and try to lift a few spirits.

‘I think it’s important to take a moment to remind ourselves that it’s ok to ask for help, or cry or wallow… I have shed many tears,’ she added.  

She went on to explain that she had spoken to three people that day, who had all cried on the phone to her.  

Naomi was previously spending time with her ex partner Liev Schreiber and their children Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete, 13, and Samuel ‘Sammy’ Kai, 11, along with the Ray Donovan star’s new girlfriend Taylor Neisen.    

The Aussie star been dating actor Billy Crudup for over a year. She plays his wife on their hit Netflix show, Gypsy.
