She has become an overnight sensation thanks to her incredible on-screen chemistry with co-star Paul Mescal in Normal People.

But in real-life, Daisy Edgar-Jones, 22, is loved-up with her boyfriend of two years Tom Varey, 29, and passionately kissed him during a romantic picnic in a local London park, on Thursday.

The couple laughed as they played with a football, and appeared at ease as they relaxed on a tartan throw, soaking up the sunshine while putting on an affectionate display.

Daisy looked effortlessly stylish in a white prairie blouse and khaki shorts which tied at the waist.

The actress strolled along in yellow sandals and styled her brunette locks into a half-up, half-down ‘do with a topknot and fringe combination. 

Meanwhile her boyfriend kept things casual, opting for a white Nike training T-shirt and black Adidas striped shorts, teamed with black trainers and socks.

The duo shielded their eyes with retro shades as they picked out a spot in the shade beneath a large tree.

Tom acted like the perfect gentleman, carrying Daisy’s tote bag in his hand while she shared the load by wearing a backpack. 

The couple smiled adoringly at each other as they lounged about, with the Normal People actress taking every opportunity to dote on her boyfriend.

She often lovingly touched his face and affectionately kissed the side of his head, before Tom lay back to rest in her lap.

Tom was raised by his mother, Karen, in a two-up, two-down terraced house while Daisy enjoyed a similarly comfortable, middle-class upbringing in leafy Muswell Hill, North London.

The actress’ father, Phillip, is a successful TV executive and she attended the £18,000-a-year Mount School for Girls, before doing her A-Levels at Woodhouse College in Finchley, North London.

Her boyfriend Tom, played Cley Cerwyn in Game Of Thrones and has also appeared in BBC1’s The Village and the Channel 4 drama Ackley Bridge.

The couple have been dating for two years after meeting on the set of the film Pond Life in 2018.

Daisy and Tom played friends who go off on a life-changing fishing trip in the low-budget movie, based in Doncaster. 

The loved-up pair, who appeared in the most recent series of the ITV drama Cold Feet, are isolating together with another couple during the coronavirus outbreak.
