Nationwide savers forced to wait weeks to transfer Isas after building society slashes rates across the board

Nationwide has cut the rate on its Future Saver account by 2.5 points

Nationwide customers are having to wait weeks to transfer their Isas after the building society slashed rates across the board.

Nationwide has cut the rate on its Future Saver account by 2.5 points, while its Loyalty Saver and Loyalty Isa customers will see their rate tumble by as much as 0.85 points.

Readers said they would be moving their money to get a better deal, but they are now being met with delays.

Transfers should be completed within 15 days, but some customers say they have been waiting for up to three weeks. The bank has apologised for the delays and is retraining staff to help cope with demand.
