Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson send condolences to Jeana Keough following the death of her ex Matt

Real Housewives Of Orange County alum Jeana Keough used Instagram to pay tribute to her late ex husband Matt Keough, 64, who passed away on Friday.

And the 64-year-old reality star’s former castmates Tamra Judge, Vicki Gunvalson, and Jo De La Rosa took to the post’s comment section to express their condolences. 

As her tribute, Jeana posted a photo of Matt from his days as a right-handed pitcher for the Oakland Athletics during late-1970s and early-’80s. 

‘Rest in peace Matt,’ wrote Vicki, 58.

‘I’m so incredibly sorry to hear about this. Sending love and prayer your way for your heart right now. I’m here if there’s anything you need,’ commented De La Rosa, 39.

De La Rosa, Gunvalson, and Keough were part of the original RHOC cast when the reality series premiered on Bravo in the spring of 2006. 

‘I’m so sorry for your loss. Big hugs and prayers,’ wrote Judge, 52, who did not appear on the show until season two. 

Jeana married Matt back in 1984, but the former coupled eventually filed for separation in 2004.

Despite their separation, Matt continued to live with Jeana and appeared on early seasons of The Real Housewives Of Orange County.

The pair would remain separated for over a decade, until 2019 when Jeana officially signed divorce papers. 

During their relationship, Matt and Jeana welcomed son Shane, son Colton and daughter Kara Bosworth, 32.       

Bosworth informed her followers of her father’s passing on Saturday, as well.

Matt’s passing came only weeks after Kara’s son McCoy died in childbirth.

She shared the heartbreaking news in a moving Instagram post with multiple photos of her father.

‘Daddy, please take care of my son,’ she wrote. ‘Teach him the circle changeup and how to find forever friends. You’re on grandpa duty in heaven now.’

Judge, Gunvalson, and De La Rosa were all present in Kara’s comment section, as well. 

‘Kara, I am so sorry. There are no words to say, other than you are loved,’ wrote Vicki, while Tamra commented, ‘Oh Kara. I’m so sorry big hugs.’  

‘I’m so incredibly sorry to hear about this Kara. Thinking of you guys and sending so much love your way. Here if you need anything,’ wrote De La Rosa.

One of the photos featured Kara and her father beaming ear-to-ear as he held her first daughter Decker, now four.

Another sweet black and white shot featured the proud grandfather looking cool in sunglasses while posing with Decker, who looked like a chef in training with her floppy hat and apron.

An older photo showed the pro ball player walking an angelic Kara down the aisle as she married NFL star Kyle Bosworth. 

One photo featured Matt and his then wife Jeana looking rugged in vests while posing with Kara and her brothers.

A final image showed Kara in the late-1980s when she was only a baby, as her father proudly sat her on his knees.  

He was sentenced to a year in jail after getting a second DUI in 2010, and his ex appeared in court to plead for a probation sentence instead.  

Matt was best known for playing six years for the Oakland Athletics. The team announced his death on Saturday.

‘Matt was a great baseball man and a proud Oakland A,’ said Executive Vice President of baseball operations Billy Beane in a statement. 

‘He had an incredible passion for the game and we were lucky to have him and his wealth of knowledge alongside us for the years he worked as a special assistant.’

Following his first run in Oakland, he had short stints with the St. Louis Cardinals, the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros, though injuries derailed his playing career in the late-’80s and early-1990s. 

Prior to Matt’s death, daughter Kara suffered a tragedy when her son McCoy died during an intense labor.

In a lengthy Instagram caption, she revealed he died of shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord.

Shoulder dystocia is a birth injury that happens when one or both of a baby’s shoulders get stuck inside the mother’s pelvis during labor. In the majority of cases the baby is born safely.
