Big Brother’s Skye Wheatley ‘sick and run down’ from demands of influencer career 

Big Brother’s Skye Wheatley has revealed her secret health battle, which she claims has been caused by the stress of being an Instagram model.

The mother-of-one, 26, said on Thursday that the demands of being a full-time influencer were making her physically sick.

She has been suffering from headaches and feeling run down lately, which she blames on being ‘unable to switch off’. 

Skye apparently spends every waking moment taking selfies and making content for social media and YouTube.  

‘I’ve been suffering from headaches and stuff, getting sick and run down lately. I just don’t know if it’s because I’m always go, go, go,’ she told her Instagram followers.

‘I don’t really take a break, in my mind. Like, I’ll literally be laying in bed thinking about what I’m going to shoot the next day or how I could create something new.

‘Or just like, so many thoughts. My brain never really switches off. I’ve been getting really bad headaches. I’ve got one at the moment.’ 

Earlier this week, Skye told fans she had been feeling down lately, but had managed to lift her spirits by doing some exercise.

Since appearing on Big Brother in 2014, Skye has become a leading social media influencer, with 625,000 Instagram followers and 23 million views on YouTube. 

She mainly focuses on fashion and beauty content, but also documents her family life with boyfriend Lachlan Waugh and their son Forest, who was born in late 2018.

Like many popular influencers, she can make thousands of dollars for a single sponsored post.

She also teamed up with her friend Freja Emily last year to launch a company selling digital filters, or ‘presets’ for Instagram.

Their brand, Presets by Skye and Feja, charges up to $153 for filters than can be used to make selfies look more artistic or aesthetically pleasing.
