‘He’s a modern man!’ Geri Horner is assisted by her son Monty, 3, as they bake ‘granny’s secret choux buns’ amid lockdown

She suffered from an epic cookery fail as she burned her family’s dinner earlier this month.

And Geri Horner was back to baking up a storm as she prepared her grandmother’s  signature choux buns with help from her ‘modern’ son Monty, three, amid the coronavirus lockdown on Tuesday.

Ginger Spice, 47, who shares her little boy with husband Christian Horner, 46, kept herself occupied as she whisked cream, before Monty decided to join in the fun.

In good company: Geri Horner baked her grandmother’s signature choux buns with help from her ‘modern’ son Monty, three, amid the coronavirus lockdown on Tuesday

Mixing the batter by hand, the singer cheekily dipped her finger into her dough, joking: ‘Not very hygienic!’

The media personality complained about her cooking duties as she fumed: ‘My arms are killing me! I think that’s it, it’s almost there. That is hard! Granny says you have to do it by hand.’

Her youngest child later entered the kitchen and ordered his mother to let him participate in the activity.

She said: ‘I’m making granny’s secret cake. You want to help me do this? I’ll sit you up here then. You’re a modern man with your apron, aren’t you Monty?’

The TV star’s latest post comes after she expressed her gratitude to NHS staff as they continue to steer the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

In a heartfelt, handwritten letter shared to Instagram, the Spice Girl hailed frontline employees ‘heroes’ and the ‘backbone of the UK’ for their work amid the global crisis.

The musician admitted while staff ‘are probably too busy’ to read her message, she wanted to take time out of her day to encourage the ‘brave’ doctors and nurses during this ‘historical moment’.

Media personality Geri wrote: ‘Dear Nurses, Doctors & all staff at the NHS. You are probably too busy to read this.

‘I hope someone shows you this letter in times of trouble you find out what you’re made of and who your friends are.

‘This is that moment- We want you to know – YOU are our heroes. YOU are back bone of this country. YOU are the GREAT in Great Britain.

‘We thank you. This is the moment in history when we are reminded , and we will never forget how brave and wonderful you are. We are lucky to have you. Thank you. Geri x’, the Wannabe hitmaker signed off her passionate letter.
