Bachelorette star Jason Tartick talks ‘mayhem’ of quarantining with girlfriend Kaitlyn Bristowe

The beginning of quarantine was absolute ‘mayhem’ for former Bachelorette stars Jason Tartick and girlfriend Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Currently, the couple is in isolation together, dealing with the ups and downs of lockdown from a coronavirus scare to learning one of Kaitlyn’s more unique quirks.

Tartick, 31, exclusively sat down with DailyMailTV to talk about what life as been like for the couple and discuss his consulting company, Restart, which he is using to virtually educate people on finances.

Jason described the start to their COVID-19 quarantine as ‘mayhem’ because he and Kaitlyn had been traveling separately back and forth to New York from their home in Nashville.

Just as stay-at-home orders began to get issued, Bristow herself had a coronavirus scare when she came down with symptoms of the illness after returning from the Big Apple.

‘I’m in New York, kind of in a panic,’ he said. Jason immediately flew back from NYC after some media appearances once Kaitlyn informed him she couldn’t get out of bed.

‘She was doing poorly and then it got to the point where I’m like, “we need to find you a test. Like we’ve got to find a test.”‘

After doing some research online and calling Nashville’s COVID-19 call center, he was directed to their family care doctor.

‘They’re like, “listen, it’s first come first serve. We have a test right now but you have to get here in ten minutes.” I picked Kaitlyn up, we went right to the doctor’s office.’

Jason said the results didn’t come for over a week but, thankfully, she was negative for COVID-19 and was instead diagnosed with influenza A and bronchitis.

Now that April is nearly over, Jason says the couple has gotten back to normal while locked down with their two adorable golden retrievers. However, there is a learning curve to being hunkered down with someone nonstop.

To keep busy, the couple has been making videos for their online followers and doing what they can to raise money for people impacted by the crisis.

‘The thing we’ve been doing a lot lately are these charity challenges,’ he said. ‘Two days of a charity challenge resulted in $48K – so it’s finding ways of entertainment and then putting it to a good cause and it’s been great.’

This season of the reality dating competition had already began filming when it was forced to shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak.

‘I don’t know if mentally I could’ve done it again,’ Jason said, putting himself in the shoes of the contestants who had to stop filming.

‘That first night, that was the worst night of the whole thing (besides being dumped in Thailand. I dont know that I would want to do it again if they had to recast.’Jason said this is the time to reflect on what life should be like after quarantine.

‘This is an opportunity to take a step back and reanalyze everything you’ve done until this point in life and what your outlook looks like,’ he said.

‘Everything right now has slowed down a little bit. So first priority is stay safe,’ Jason advised. ‘The second thing you have to do is analyze yourself this is the time to do a self-check, is life leading me or am I leading my life?’
