Jon Voight catches up with a friend as he leaves a grocery store after buying wine and sandwich

He’s an Academy Award-winning actor who has played ex-convict Mickey Donovan on the hit Showtime drama series Ray Donovan.

And with Los Angeles still under home quarantine, Jon Voight took a break from his sequester to stop by a grocery store in the upscale neighborhood of Bel-Air.

The father of actress Angelina Jolie, 81, was spotted as he left the market with a bottle of white wine and a sandwich.

Voight also seemed to be engulfed in a conversation on his phone as he walked into the parking lot to find his car.

On this day he was smartly dressed in grey pants with a white checkered dress shirt and black sneakers. 

The New York native also adhered to the Los Angeles County order to wear a protective mask while inside essential businesses like grocery stores.

Voight first came to prominence as an actor in 1969 with his performance as a gigolo in Midnight Cowboy, which garnered him an Oscar nomination.

Her parlayed that into a number of memorable roles in the 1970s in such films as Deliverance (1972), Coming Home (1978), which won an Academy Award For Best Actor, and The Champ (1979).

Other films that got a lot of attention included Runaway Train (1985), Heat (1995), Mission: Impossible (1996), The Rainmaker (1997), Enemy Of The State (1998) and Ali (2001).

The crime drama was an immediate fan favorite after it premiered back in 2013.

But just this past February Showtime canceled the show without any warning after seven seasons. Season 8 was supposed to have been the final season, and writers had already had a plan in place to wrap up the storyline. 

After rabid fan backlash, leading man Liev Schreiber took to Instagram about a week later and declared that ‘there will be more Ray Donovan,’ although he did add that it was too soon to know how or when.
