The Love Island 2019 star had shared a sizzling picture of herself posing in her bathroom, looking super svelte as she modelled a tiny leopard print bikini.

However, after the post was inundated with comments accusing her of faking it, the 29-year-old Irish beauty saw red.

Maura took to her Instagram Stories to lament how annoying it is to be constantly accused of editing her pictures – joking ‘I’m actually just fantastic [looking]’.

She said: ‘So my recent post, yeah… I’ve deleted it. I just couldn’t be dealing with the s**t.

‘”Oh, it looks so Photoshopped!” Get over it. It’s not actually photoshopped. It’s just got different lighting, I put a filter on it.

‘Just to prove you all wrong, I’m going to upload the video on my Stories, just to prove – I’m actually just fantastic.’

Following a brief break to cool off, Maura was back again – this time laughing at her hot-headed reaction.

She said: ‘I’m sorry! I cannot stop laughing. I feel like lockdown is sending us all crazy.

‘It’s just not like me to delete a photo just because I’m getting abuse. So I’ll put the photo back up.

‘It’s probably just the lockdown. We’re all losing our marbles. Send the hate my way. I can take it!’.

Even after she re-uploaded the picture, some of her followers were still questioning her.

One posted, ‘What is going on with this photo????’, while another claimed, ‘Dodgy shoulder, sort out the photoshop’.

A third commented: ‘No one gonna talk about the obvious photoshop’.

Maura has had plenty of time with her own thoughts during the UK lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

She recently revealed she called it quits with Curtis Pritchard, 24, because of the struggles of maintaining a long distance relationship.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, the Irish beauty admitted the pair ‘never got to see each other’ after their time in the Love Island villa, and they had such busy schedules that they barely kept track of what the other was doing.

Calling the period after the show came to an end ‘the worst time of [her] life’, Maura explained that she worked so much that she became ill from the exhaustion and stress that she was put under.

Explaining how this impacted her relationship, Maura said: ‘Curtis and I barely saw each other. At the beginning it was very, very hard because I was so besotted with him, and we never got to see each other.

‘When we did, it was really nice because you got the time to miss somebody. But sometimes it would be two weeks.’

The TV star was partnered with married professional skater Alexander Demetriou during her time on the competition show, and she hit out at claims they had been romantically involved.
