North America has been gripped by the COVID-19 crisis spreading across the globe, and is now in fact the epicentre of the pandemic.
And, Christie Brinkley, 66, has revealed she’s donating some of the proceeds from her Bellissima Prosecco brand to buy PPE for health workers in a bid to ‘arm the people on the forefront of this battle.’
The mother-of-three, who’s missing her New York based daughters as they’re separated while quarantining, explained how she’s working with an organisation called Direct Relief to facilitate the process.

She told Extra: ‘They’re doing a great job of mobilising and getting them masks … all of the stuff they need to stay safe so that they can work to protect us.
‘I have always felt that doctors and nurses are true angels on this planet… What they’re doing right now is beyond heroic.’
The supermodel, who is using her platform to give back, served pioneer woman vibes Friday in denim overalls while tending to her garden during isolation.

In photos shared to her Instagram, Christie paired the look with a busty white blouse featuring billowy sleeves, a red bandana in her hair and brown rubber boots.
She carried a metal watering can over a row of her Bellissima Prosecco bottles planted in the dirt.
Brinkley confirmed in the caption that she’s donating 30 percent of online sales to provide PPE for healthcare workers.
She took to her story earlier in the day to ring a bell on her sprawling property in recognition of their hard work.

The National Lampoon’s Vacation star said: ‘It’s 7:00, time to ring the bell for the hospital heroes.’
She revealed last month that she’s in quarantine with son Jack Brinkley-Cook, 24 in her Hamptons home.
Meanwhile her daughters Alexa Joel, 34, and Sailor Brinkley-Cook, 21, are isolating in New York City.

Brinkley told Extra: ‘My daughters are — don’t even get me started, I’m missing them so much. And I’m so worried about them. They’re both in the city.’
She also revealed that Alexa’s wedding to Ryan Gleason has been postponed: ‘Everything’s on hold right now.’
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model had Alexa with ex-husband Billy Joel, sharing Sailor and Jack with ex Peter Cook.
