Sweaty! On Wednesday, Susannah Constantine, 57, admitted she hasn’t washed her hair for over a MONTH in a bid to see if her tresses will begin to self-clean as she self-isolates

Susannah shared a video of herself in which she showed off her unwashed mane and gave fans an update on her ‘hair situation.’

‘Hello. So, I thought I’d give you a little update on the hair situation,’ began Susannah as she took her tresses down from the top knot they were in, and started brushing them through.

‘So, I’m now on week four… Actually I’ve come out, I’ve done a month with no hair washing, in the hope that it’s going to start to self-clean.

‘So, that’s how it’s looking. The grey is really beginning to do my head in, literally,’ said the presenter as she gave viewers a close-up of her roots.

‘And it’s kind of not really beginning to self-clean yet really, is it? But it’s not so bad, you know.

‘It’s not kind of itchy, which is good, and it does feel in good condition and I’m brushing the natural oils through every day.

‘At the back it feels pretty terrible – I don’t know if you can see that?’ said Susannah, turning around to show her fans the back of her head.

‘Because I’m running a lot so it gets kind of sweaty as well. And at night I have to put a towel on my pillow,’ she confessed.

Susannah captioned her Instagram video: ‘Heading interview week 5 of dirty hair…… #projectselfclean,’ and responded to many comments she received, giving more detail.

When asked by one fan why she’s embarked on her ‘project self clean,’ she said: ‘I’s very good to give hair a break…. apparently?! X’

The presenter told another baffled follower: ‘apparently your hair starts to self clean after six weeks?? May we’ll be proved wrong!! Xxx.’

Susannah also clarified that she’s not even rinsing her hair with water, writing when quizzed: ‘Zippo. Nada. Nothing. Not going to lie…. I can’t f@’&ing wait to wash it! Xx.’

Asked what her hair now smells like, she said: ‘doesn’t smell…. weirdly??’

The presenter appeared to be concerned when one follower commented: ‘I wash my hair if I have been out for exercise or shopping as I heard the virus can be passed on via the hair???’

Susannah responded: ‘Really?? That’s not so good at all. Going to check this out, although I’ve only left house twice. But still. Thanks for heads up.’
