The pair talked about how Michael is eating unnecessarily to pass the time as Davina discussed her worries amid the global pandemic and her children – Holly, 18, Tilly, 16, and Chester, 13.

Michael referred to her as a ‘wild animal’ before they thanked the likes of presenter Carol Vorderman and Take That star Mark Owen for sending in their best wishes to the podcast.

The couple have known each other for 20 years, and Davina admitted that over the years he has always on been on hand to give her advice.

Discussing his job as a celebrity hairstylist, Michael said earlier this year: ‘It’s one of the great perks of the job, cheering people up, and there’s something vert nice about that because I get the after effects.’

Davina agreed, stating: ‘Having been on the receiving end of being in the chair while you do my hair it is like therapy. You therapied me for many, many years!’

‘Therapised!’ Michael laughed, adding, ‘I find that with a lot of clients. I think if I stopped being a hairdresser I’d quite like to be a clinical psychologist.’

Clearly a fan of Michael’s methods, Davina jumped in with, ‘You’d be great!’

Elsewhere in the chat, Michael poked fun at Davina’s health guru image, quipping: ‘People always say she’s fitness mad… you’d be surprised, she’s always eating Maltesers!’

Explaining their decision to launch a podcast together, Davina shared on Instagram: ‘For the last 20 years when michael did my hair we would review stuff. That we’d seen or places we’d been. Things we’d done , books we’d read products that we loved or hated… u get the gist .

‘So now we bring it to you … the things you can and cannot live without . Trip advisor for your life. [sic]’

Back in November, Davina said her year had been ‘amazing’ after she found her ‘new man’ Michael following her painful divorce to the father of her three children.

The Long Lost Family presenter told the Daily Mirror: ‘This year has been amazing. I have got a new man. I’m very happy. All in all it’s been a great year. I am enjoying life so much.’

Her relationship with Michael comes following her split from husband Matthew Robertson, who she divorced in 2017 after 17 years of marriage.

The former couple share children Holly, 17, Tilly, 15, and Chester, 12.
