Rachael Finch urges parents to ‘nurture and nourish’ themselves while in lockdown with their kids… as she relaxes in her personal sauna

Rachael Finch has urged parents to look after themselves during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

In a series of videos posted to Instagram Stories on Monday, the 31-year-old model reminded her followers to ‘nurture and nourish’ themselves during the difficult times.

Sitting in what appeared to have been an at-home sauna, a sweaty-looking Rachael said to the camera: ‘Angels, just a reminder to make sure you fill up your cup.’

Sitting wrapped in a towel with her long brunette hair tied up in a topknot, Rachael continued: ‘Super challenging times at the moment, being at home constantly in a confined space with the kids, particularly if yours are different ages and require different levels of attention and activity.’

‘Full-time work – it’s just really full on at the moment,’ she lamented.

‘So, find space, some sort of time throughout your day to nurture yourself, nourish yourself, and fill your cup,’ Rachael continued.

‘Misha and I like to break up the time looking after the kids so that we’re both getting some personal space and re-energising,’ she captioned one of the videos.

She also paid tribute to ‘the parents living in small apartments with small children’.

‘Use this time to think deeply about how you’re nurturing your relationships and taking care of yourself,’ she added.

Rachael was forced to defend her parenting style back in 2016, when she revealed she would drop her daughter off at her mother-in-law’s house on a Friday afternoon and pick her up again on Sunday.

‘We’ve always been very confident in ensuring we make the right decision within our family and we never let any external influences affect what decisions we make,’ she told parenting blog Not So Mumsy in January 2019.
