This Morning thrown into chaos as Sharon Marshall’s daughter hilariously interrupts live broadcast

‘Soapbox will now take place during Betsey’s naptime!’ This Morning is thrown into chaos as Sharon Marshall’s daughter hilariously interrupts live broadcast

The coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown has forced the majority of presenters to work from home.

Yet Sharon Marshall’s attempt to broadcast from her living room ended with hilarious results during Monday’s episode of This Morning.

The show’s resident soap expert, 48, appeared live to discuss the third season of Killing Eve, but it was her adorable daughter Betsey, 15 months, who ended up stealing the show.

As Sharon began discussing the series with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, she was interrupted by Betsey, who ran into the room wanting a hug from her mum.

Determined to carry on, Sharon gave her little one a hug, before placing her back down and continuing the segment, but Bestsey could be heard gurgling in the background.

The segment continued to go awry as Betsey then popped up into frame behind Sharon and attempted to scale the furniture.

Unable to control her giggles, Ruth exclaimed: ‘What is she doing? Is she dressed as an easter bunny? Oh steady! she’s climbing up on that chair!’

As Sharon ran off to collect her little one, Eamonn attempted to keep the show going, as he announced: ‘Well it’s there available to  download on iPlayer…

‘Thank you for the preview, and thank you for the entertainment with you and junior there. It’ll be great to show at her 18th birthday’.

Ruth added: ‘They always upstage you, kids!’

Luckily Sharon was able to see the funny side, taking to Twitter afterwards to quip: ‘Soapbox tomorrow will take place at 12. Betsey’s naptime!’

Sharon gave birth to Betsey aged 46 following a difficult pregnancy which constantly left her in fear.

Speaking with The Sun, Sharon feared she would have to give birth prematurely as she woke up bleeding in the middle of the night when she was six months pregnant.

Elaborating on what happened, she said: ‘When I saw the blood it put the fear of god into me. My blood pressure was massively high and I thought I was going to have to give birth months earlier than expected.’

Sharon added: ‘Before she was born I was convinced something was going to go wrong.

Until Betsey was actually put in my arms and I heard her let out the most almighty yell, I always felt like someone was going to say it’s all going to be taken away from me.’
