Inside Guy and Jules Sebastian’s $3.1 million Maroubra ‘fortress’ mansion

Guy and Jules Sebastian have offered fans a rare glimpse inside their ultra-modern Sydney home.

As the couple self-isolate with their two children during the coronavirus pandemic, they have shared pictures and videos from within the $3.1million Maroubra property neighbours once unkindly described as a ‘fortress’.

From their own tennis court to a grand piano, the family have plenty of ways to occupy themselves with as they remain indoors for the foreseeable future.

In March, Guy performed an Instagram Live concert for fans. He accompanied himself on the piano situated below an impressive spiral staircase.

The nine-meter high staircase is made of steel and encased in crisp white render, and proves to be the focal point of the home’s main foyer entrance.

Guy and Jules opted for a monochrome palette with their interior design, with concrete walls and black and white features throughout.

Working remotely will be no problem for stylist Jules, who has her own home office.

When it comes to getting some fresh air, the family are fortunate enough to have their own tennis court and luxury outdoor lounge area.

In March, Jules shared a picture reading a book and relaxing in their garden.

Last week, Jules offered a glimpse of her shared bathroom with Guy.

She filmed a video practising ‘self-love’ while pampering herself, showcasing their sleek double vanity unit, circular mirrors and stylish brass taps.

The mum-of-two revealed in a recent video that before coronavirus was declared a pandemic, she managed to complete her children’s bedrooms.

Jules created custom furniture with Freedom Wardrobes, saying: ‘It was imperative to make them functional and fit in with the look and feel of our home.’

The couple have two children: Hudson James, eight, and Archer Jones, five.

Guy purchased the $3.1million house back in 2013, and then spent two-and-a-half years renovating it. He finally moved in with his family in June 2019.

Neighbours long complained about the development at the time, with many branding it a ‘fortress’ and some even threatening to move away from the area.

In December, Guy defended the renovation, telling KIIS FM: ‘It’s a long build, but it’s a pretty special house. It’s not normal. It’s not a cookie-cutter house, it’s cool.’
