She began her message by shedding light on her role as Anna in the Disney musical – as she originated the role on Broadway from March 2018 to February of this year – as she wrote:  ‘Even Disney princesses can get sick.’

Murin revealed that she had consulted with her OB/GYN from Mt. Sinai in Tarzana, California via video chat and the physician was ‘pretty certain’ she has the illness but would not be able to be tested unless the symptoms worsened.

She explained: ‘I can’t get tested unless I start having trouble breathing, so I’m going to count my lucky stars that I seem to be leaning towards the mild end of the scale.

‘And sure, while it would be nice to know if I’m positive or not, I’m not willing to walk into a waiting room and possibly get other people sick just for my own selfish informational purposes.’

The manufacturer said it is ramping up production to 50,000 nasal swab tests – known as ID NOW COVID-19 – per day.

But, according to documents obtained by Kaiser Health News, state and local public health laboratories are receiving just 5,500 coronavirus tests this week.

Labs in all 50 states were supposed to receive the same number of tests and devices on which to run tests, 100 tests and about 10 or 15 devices.
