Married At First Sight star Cathy Evans is keen to launch a career as an influencer – but won’t share any details about her new mystery man
Cathy Evans failed to find love with Josh Pihlak on Married At First Sight.
But after seeing her Instagram followers skyrocket, the 26-year-old logistics investigator has walked away from Nine’s social experiment with a career as an influencer.
Her Instagram sponsorships are just a ‘hobby’ for now, but she hopes to pursue it more professionally in the future.

‘If there are that many opportunities that I could use this as an income, a source of income fully, then I will take it,’ she told 9Entertainment on Wednesday .
‘But at this stage, I’m just doing my own thing and Instagram’s still just a hobby, not a job.’
Cathy also confirmed she was dating someone new after her break up with Josh, she declined to offer any further details.

‘Am I in a relationship? Am I single? My shoulders are shrugging right now, but I’ve got a smile on my face – that’s all I can say,’ she said.
It comes after Cathy told Yahoo on Monday that she was in a much better place since filming wrapped on Married At First Sight last year.
‘I’ve found someone so much better now,’ she said

‘I really tried so hard in the relationship and, if anything, it was a blessing that it didn’t work out,’ she said of her failed romance with truck driver Josh.
Cathy added that she didn’t want to name her new boyfriend because ‘he’s a private person’ who ‘isn’t famous’.
Despite refusing to identify her beau, it seems the mystery man is often on her mind.
On Friday, shared a glamorous selfie to Instagram alongside the telling caption: ‘Thinking bout you.’
