Speaking on his Evolve podcast, Pete said he was shocked by the number of people filling up their trolleys with ‘crap food’ at a local supermarket.

‘I was at the supermarket the other day picking up meat and seafood, but I was looking at people’s trolleys and I was like, “they’re still filling up with crap food.”‘

The cookbook author, known to many as ‘Paleo Pete’, went on to say that the global health crisis can be used as motivation for people to overhaul their diet.

‘We’re going to be in a situation where it’s like, “oh s**t maybe I should’ve looked after myself those last couple of years”, and maybe now is a really, really good time.’
