Teresa Giudice asks fans to send ‘extra prayers’ to her ‘struggling’ father

Teresa Giudice has asked for prayers for her ‘struggling’ father, Giacinto Gorga.

The reality star, 47, revealed her father was in need of extra love and support on Thursday.

‘At this trying time I’m graciously asking for any extra prayers, good vibes, love….please send my fathers way,’ Teresa wrote on Instagram. ‘My father is struggling and my girls and I need him, we need his love, his presence & his strength. #thepowerofprayers.’

Accompanying the message was a photo of her father with Teresa and his granddaughters. 

The girls surrounded a smiling Giacinto, as he sat in front of a cake and received kisses on his cheeks. 

She posted the same photo onto her Instagram stories, but this time set to the song Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion.

Last month, Teresa’s sister-in-law Melissa Gorga asked for prayers for Giacinto as she posted a photo of him on a boat with her daughter, Antonia Gorga.   

‘Thanks so much for all your Birthday wishes❤️ What I really want from all of you is a couple extra prayers for this guy❤️❤️ He’s the best soul. ❤️❤️ #thankyou.’

There was no mention of what Giacinto’s new woes were, but late last year he was hospitalized for pneumonia.   

‘He’s alright. He’s not that bad, hopefully. He’ll be okay. So let’s see what happens,’ Giacinto’s son Joe Gorga told Page Six in 2019. 

Teresa has been open with fans about his health struggles.  

In her book, Standing Strong, the star remembered taking her father to the emergency room after he began coughing up blood in her book. 

The health scare occurred not long after the passing of her mother, Antonia, who died in March 2017.  

‘As we sat in the waiting room, which was absolutely freezing, I was rubbing his back affectionately,’ she wrote, according to an excerpt obtained by Us Weekly.
