He explained: ‘It’s quite difficult because I’m not able to go to gyms and train, however I have been doing every morning a workout video live on Instagram.

‘It’s helping people’s fitness and mental health. Everyone goes nuts in the front room while we’re working out.’

Tyson also hilariously told Piers and Susanna that with a family of seven at home, they’re getting through more food than ever, leaving a huge amount of rubbish to dispose of.

He said: ‘The bins come in my area once every two weeks, I have a truckload of rubbish to take to the tip and I can’t take it. I’ve got to wait until next Monday before the bin man comes.

‘Having the kids off school all day every day we’re going through that much food and rubbish is just unbelievable.’

Tyson made worldwide headlines last month when he beat US boxer Deontay Wilder in an epic rematch, crowning him the world heavyweight champion.

Asked whether he’d be open to stepping into the ring against Wilder again, Tyson said he wouldn’t rule it out.

He said: ‘I’ll be obliged to give him a bit of fall though, one of those things you take great pride in doing.

‘Not many people in boxing say something, do exactly what they’re gonna do, so I’m quite proud of the performance, I’m looking forward to getting coronavirus out the way and getting back to my job.’

Tyson added that sport remains a ‘big part of peoples’ lives,’ following speculation about whether the Premier League season could resume behind closed doors.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
