Steve Burley slams radio hosts and hangs up interview after being grilled about not getting intimate

Married At First Sight’s Steve Burley slams radio hosts and hangs up after being asked embarrassing questions about why he didn’t get intimate with ‘bride’ Mishel Karen

He continuously feuded with his ‘bride’ Mishel Karen about the couple’s intimacy in the bedroom on Married At First Sight.

And it now appears that the 52-year-old has had enough of being questioned about his lack of sexual feelings towards Mishel, hanging up the phone when questioned about it during a live radio interview on Tuesday.

Speaking on Hit 107’s Bec and Cosi show, the reality star defended his choice saying, ‘I couldn’t give her a shag because pure and simply I wasn’t ready to do so.’

Steve said he shouldn’t be getting pressured into having to get intimate with anyone.

‘It’s OK to discuss things like this with a man and say, ‘Why didn’t you do this, why didn’t you do that?’ he continued.

‘But if the shoe was on the other foot and the pressure was being put upon Mishel to do this and do that with me, how would that have been?’ Steve continued.

The Melbourne-based barber shop owner was further annoyed when host Andrew ‘Cosi’ Costello accused him of being a ‘serial reality TV offender’.

‘You’re a bit of a serial offender when it comes to these dating shows – you were on Channel 7’s show as well, weren’t you?’ the radio host asked.

‘What do you mean “serial offender?’ Steve questioned, before hittinng back: ‘Yeah, I was on First Dates a couple of years ago. Is that a crime?’

Oh no: But it seems like the interview went from awkward to worse after the radio duo brought up Steve's lack-of-desire to get intimate with his bride (left) for a second time

Things came to a crashing halt when the duo then brought up Steve’s lack of desire to get intimate with his bride for a second time.

Rebecca ‘Bec’ Morse said: ‘You had this woman that was begging for a little bit of affection, a little bit of love, a little bit of action, and you wouldn’t deliver.’

Steve replied, ‘What about my feelings? What about how I feel?’

Cosi sarcastically replied, ‘Gees, come here mate, I’ll give you a big cuddle. It’ll be all right.’

Steve then abruptly hung up the call, ending his interview with the radio presenters.

It comes after the Brisbane-based teacher gave Steve a piece of her mind during their final commitment ceremony on Monday night’s episode of MAFS.

Standing in front of her former groom, Mishel acknowledged that while they ‘grew very close’ and ‘shared a very special bond’, Steve never wanted to progress their relationship.

‘The fact you kept telling me you were not attracted to me made me doubt myself, doubt my attractiveness, lose confidence and strength,’ she told him.
